Heralded around the world for her unique style and sound, award-winning sitar player Anoushka Shankar made her Australian and New Zealand debut on this tour.

Schooled in the Indian classical music tradition by her father, Ravi Shankar,  Anoushka’s unique style of music cleverly fuses classical Indian, electronic and world music. Anoushka has played with some of the world’s biggest name artists including George Harrison, Herbie Hancock, Elton John and Sting. On this tour Anoushka performed classical Indian music as well as her own fusion of eastern and western style music from her albums, Rise and Breathing Under Water.
