Revered jazz musician and Grammy® award winner toured Australia in June 2019 with concerts and workshops in Sydney (2 & 6 June), Melbourne (3 June) and Brisbane (5 June).

In concert, Frisell will be joined bass player Thomas Morgan (Paul Motian, Dave Binney Quartet, Tomasz Stanko New York Quartet) and drummer Rudy Royston (Branford Marsalis, Dave Douglas, The Mingus Big Band).

The concert includes music from Frisell’s latest releases Small Town (Sony Music Masterworks) – recorded live at the hallowed New York City jazz club The Village Vanguard, and Music IS (ECM), featuring brand new compositions – Change in the Air, Thankful, What Do You Want, Miss You and Go Happy Lucky – alongside adaptations of now classic original compositions he had previously recorded on his first two ECM albums.
